LPU conduct its own exam to entrance in college, and it gives scholarship, according to marks in exam and placements are good in LPU.

Prahalad, the eligibility for B.Tech is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) OR In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. The eligiblity for M.Tech is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in B.E. or B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Instrumentation or Telecommunication or Electronics) or M.Sc. (Physics or Electronics) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017 or GATE. OR In case marks scored in graduation are 70% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 or GATE will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. The placements in LPU are very good with ample opportunities being offered to each and every eligible student. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Several Big Brands of the industry visit LPU campus for campus placements.
