There are approximately 270 seats (including all colleges) for Chemistry in DU. Among these, 50 % seats are filled up on the basis of merit based on marks obtained by the candidates either in general or honours in chemistry. Aggregate should be 60% or above and same cut-off for Chemistry as a major subject for honours courses. Remaining 50% seats are filled up on the basis of merit based on marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance test conducted by the Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi. Having said that, the cut-off for the merit-based admission remains quite high in DU (during my time (in 2014), it was ~80%). So, it's better to prepare well for entrance exam. For admission to M.Tech courses, one should have passed 10+2 with mathematics as one of the subjects. In chemistry, there are subjects like Quantum Chemistry, Statistical Mechanics which involve a lot of Maths. Good luck.
