What is the eligibility criteria to take HTAT examination?

HTAT is an exam organized state government for the job of headmaster in a state college. Every year this exam is organized for seats of headmaster in a government college in the state. Candidates who have completed their graduation from recognized college in any course with more than 50% marks are eligible for the exam including general candidates and SC/ST candidates (45% marks required). Candidates must be citizens of India. Candidates must have few years of experience in teaching in any school or college. All the candidates must have completed their B.Ed. There is no age limit for the exam. Those who want to build their career as a Head Teacher need to send their prescribed application form till the last date which will be released soon.

Head Teacher Aptitude Test is conducted by various state Governments is to recruit Head Teacher Class III in the subordinate services of the Directorate of Primary Education, District Primary Education Committees and Municipal Primary Education Committees. The eligibility criteria to appear in HTAT are as follows: (a) Age should not be more then 42. It may vary in different states. (b) Candidate may possess a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science or Commerce obtained from any of the recognised university in India or abroad or having passed Higher secondary education from recognised board and a four years Bachelor’s degree in Elementary education obtained from a recognised university. (c) Have obtained two years certificate course of primary teachers course or possesses one year degree in special education obtained from recognised institute or possess a Bachelor’s degree in education obtained from a recognised university. (d) Possesses basic elementary knowledge of computers.
