*M.Phil alone won't help. Even if you pursue PhD after it then also you need to clear UGC NET. However, the eligibility in that case becomes- The PhD. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET. You have the qualifying percentage and you have no problem on that count.Now, you think of qualifying for NET,or any other equivalent examination, in case it is existing in your State.
