Human quest for exploring flying and related science and technology is historical and is a big challenge and scientist are still exploring lot of unknown. Aerospace Engineering is niche engineering. In additions to aircraft extensive research is going in the field of avionics, rocket, missiles, spacecraft and UAV. Lot of technology generated in this industry is used by multiple other industries. For example concept of engine computer in aircraft is now adopted in all modern automobiles. I am of the opinion that scope of Aerospace engineering is good. You can easily get jobs in DRDO, ISRO, Aviation industry, Indian Air Force and aircraft production units and its ancillary.
