The future of online teaching is extremely bright and with the growing internet penetration, it is only going to get better. Education is set to become more affordable with technology and students who cannot get access to good quality teaching die to geographical or economic issues are all set to utilize the growing digitalization of education sector. For the last 5 years we have seen the rise of education technology platforms like BYJU, Khans Academy and the growing demand for courses taken on coursera and udemy. This is all going to experience a surge as we go ahead. Also, several coaching centers have started to compliment classroom teaching by having an online portal or just substituting classroom teaching by virtual experts in order to save on operational expenses. Hence as we tread along this digital age, we are going to experience more such avenues which provide a virtual teaching experience to students.

Online teaching is gaining a lot of momentum in India, with the penetration of internet learning has become very simple and easy. One can easily find online videos about the topic and learn from them. Earlier, online teaching was more in informal space like you tube where anyone can post videos and there is no system to identify the authenticity of the content. But, now due to many startups penetrating the online learning space the online learning atmosphere is becoming more organized and the quality of content has also significantly improved. There are startups like BYJU's, Online Tayari, which are providing remarkable content and helping students across India in learning. In my opinion, online teaching can be used to gain some extra skill, clarifying doubts, learning new chapters but it can never replace the formal education system where the students are practically involved in learning. Online learning can only teach theoretical concepts, but it can never involve the student in practical aspect of it.

The scope of online learning in India is huge. I call on all students, academicians, and parents who have not experienced the power of online education to do it now. All it needs is a computer with a good net connection, and I am sure those are things you already have easy access to.
