Scope for information technology field will surely grow in coming years and IT students will have a very high scope and on the other hand about CS and IT both the branches have equal opportunities when it comes to job. And both have good scope now. So, it all depends on your interest and not on which is better.

Computer science and IT are quite relatable to each other and both have bright scope. But, computer science will be a better choice by incoming of IOT and big data analytics. So,computer science is better to opt. Also, IT is not a bad choice. It depends on interest.

CSE and IT both have bright future, but it also depends on your choice. See, both are nearly same. If you have not choose a particular branch of engineering yet, then choose CSE.

There are multiple job opportunities available in the field of IT. As per NASSCOM, Indian IT Industry revenues grew by 13% in FY 2015 and it added 2,30,000 employees in FY 15. NASSCOM has forecasted that IT industry exports will grow by 12-14% and domestic market by 15-17% in FY 2016 (Actual data is yet to be released. India's IT-BPM industry is projected to grow 8% in FY 2017 to USD 154 billion. In light of the very disruptive emerging technologies, the industry is re-imagining itself to become the Digital Solutions Partner for the world. CSE & IT grads from top engineering colleges have excellent career opportunities. Syllabus of B.Tech CS and B.Tech IT is similar up to 80 to 90% in various universities. Courses on Computer languages, data structure, databases, and networking etc. are common. B.Tech IT degree course program is primarily focused on in the field of Computer Applications such as mobile computing, ERP, SCM etc. whereas B.Tech CSE CS degree program primarily focused on subjects with more mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies. It covers all emerging topic like Artificial Intelligence, BIDW etc. B.Tech CSE graduates can work both as Systems and Apps programmer whereas B.Tech IT graduates is trained only as Apps programmer. Market acceptance of both degrees is almost similar in Apps Development and Maintenance companies. However IT Product companies prefer B.Tech CSE graduates. In any engineering entrance examination seats of B.Tech CSE are first to be filled.
