Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is the standard under-graduate degree for students seeking a professional education in the visual or performing arts. It is an interactive course having duration of 3 to 4 years. This course is also known asBVA Bachelor of Visual Arts.Students who have completed their10+2 can pursue Bachelor of Fine Arts. The course can be pursued either for full-time graduate course or part-time graduate course .i.e. through correspondence or distance learning. After completing Bachelor of Fine Arts a person can get jobs in advertising companies, art studios, boutiques, educational institutesetc. Candidates who have a natural interest for Visual Arts or possess natural skills as sketching, drawing and visualization are perfectly suited to pursue this course. This course is perfect for those who really enjoy creating and imagining and are interested in pursuing a career in visual and/or performance arts. Admission forms for the BFA course are generally available along with other undergraduate courses application forms in the month of May. Mostly the admission is merit based and universities declare a common cut off list for admission to the program. However, there are some institutes that conduct the entrance examination. Some fine arts institutes carry out Aptitude test and based on that, admission process is carried out. The duration of the entrance exam is 2 hours. The Question Paper consists of objective type questions and number of question ranges from 100 to 200 questions. The test paper may contain two sections. While one section contains objective type questions, the other sections checks drawing prowess of the candidate.
