Here is the eligibility criteria for marine engineering: * To pursue a B.Tech in marine engineering, a candidate must have cleared 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognised board or university under the science stream with compulsory subjects physics, chemistry and maths. * The minimum cut-off is 50% in most institutes. * Clearing an entrance exam is mandatory in order to get into most marine engineering institutes. * Candidates who have completed a Diploma in any stream of Engineering (Marine, Mechanical and Electrical) with 55-60% in final year can join the B.Tech course from the 2nd year as part of the Lateral Entry scheme.
