At times these agents are required to do additional bookings along with travel bookings. The process of selection remains same as the other profile in the airlines however the criteria to become an Airline Ticket Reservation Agent includes you to be: A graduate in any field. Hold knowledge of the software used for reservation and ticketing such as Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre, etc. In this case certification from IATA affiliated centers is an added advantage at time of selection. Some of the airlines have strict criteria to employ only IATA certified professionals. Ticket agents work directly with passengers, airlines like to see a customer service and/or sales background along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic typing and computer skills, and ability to perform basic mathematics.
