Candidates are needed to have passed Xth class examination or equivalent examination. Candidates are needed to be registered with the Board of Studies to appear in the CPT after appearing in the Class 10+2 examination. Candidates passed B.Com, M.Com, LLB, ICWA, CS or MBA in their first attempt, were also eligible to appear the exam. Candidates appeared in the final year of the qualifying exam, were also eligible to appear in CA CPT 2016 December exam. Any candidate, who had registered for CPT on or before October 1, 2016 for December 2016 examination were eligible.
