Indian Government is spending quite a lot in the field of space and Aeronautical Engineering under Make in India program. ISRO is not only launching weather, GPS, Defence, Communication etc satellites for India's needs but also has become outsourcing partner for launching these for western countries. Similarly DRDO is doing lots of reserach and systems integration projects in indigenous aircraft and missiles program. Lot of private sector ancillary industries are developing to support ISRO and DRDO indigenous technology development effort. India has well developed aircraft and other aviation systems production companies in both Public and private sector. Therefore, Aerospace Engineering graduates have good job opportunities in DRDO, ISRO, HAL etc organisations. In additions Aerspace engineers are employed by Indian Air Force, Airlines, specialized aircraft maintenance companies. Lot of multinational companies have offshore centres which employ Aerospace engineering graduates. Lot of IT companies also employ Aerospace graduates in their Engineering vertical. Therefore, there are good opportunities and scope for Aerospace engineers. Graduates engineers can expect average starting CTC of Rs 5+ lakh per annum.
