You have to face a tough competition inorder to get in to the field if you choose Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering. IIT's are the best for doing Aerospace Engineering. There are very few people who are doing their job in their same field after completing Aerospace Engineering except IIT graduates. Aerospace Engineers are mainly hired by ISRO, Indian Airforce, HAL, NAL. Otherwise, you can get trained in any private Aerospace companies in Bangalore or Mumbai for experience after graduation as there is a need of experience in this field.

Aerospace Engineering is the most demanding and interesting career option. Students interested in learning about missiles, satellites and aircrafts, generally opt for aerospace Engineering. This discipline specializes in designing, construction, development, testing and maintenance of commercial and military aircrafts and spacecrafts. Aerospace engineering is categorized into two branches aeronautical Engineering and astronautical engineering. Job opportunities for these engineers are available in airlines, Air Force, corporate research companies, defence Ministry, helicopter companies, aviation companies, NASA and many more. Aerospace engineers are generally appointed as consultants, thermal design engineers, mechanical design engineers, aerospace technologist, aircraft production manager, Assistant technical officers, aerospace design checker and graduate engineer trainees. It is best and unique among other branches as it serves to biggest transport system of India and Indian air force too.
