Indian IT industry is showing an early sign of decline because of outcry against outsourcing in the Western countries and newly proposed changes in the USA visa policy. Even then IT and ITES Industries are the largest employment generation industry in India. B.Tech in CSE graduation degree is the de-facto most commonly accepted degrees. MCA graduates are also well accepted in IT industry. Most of the MCA graduates are employed in the application development and maintenance engineers roles in MNCs and large IT companies. BCA graduates are employed by small and medium size IT companies and IT departments of business enterprises. BCA graduates are employed in testing and apps support roles only not on development roles. BCA graduates, after 3 to 4 years experience and industry relevant skills get employed in MNCs and large IT companies. Nowadays, most of the recruitment at lower level in IT industry is by campus placement only. Therefore, if you are planning to do BCA MCA, it must be done only from university and colleges with good campus placement records. If you are unable to a get a job in campus placement then you may join companies such as Alchemy which produce ready to deploy resources for IT industry.
