Well fine arts and graphic design have very different scope. Graphic design has a very practical approach to itself as compared to fine arts. Graphic design is the art of giving meaningful form to information. In an era when information comes from every imaginable source, the graphic designer’s play a very important role in modern society. On the other hand  "fine art" refers to an art form practised mainly for its aesthetic value and its beauty ("art for art's sake") rather than its functional value. Fine art is rooted in drawing and design-based works such as painting, printmaking, and sculpture. one could pursue a career as an artist doing their own exhibitions or work with many studios as well. Hope this information was useful to you
