There are lots of opportunity. 1. You can do Ph.D. 2. You can become assistant professor. 3. You can get a job as a researcher in ISRO or ONGC. 4. Assistant Technician, 5. Project Fellow. 6. Junior software Engineer (JRF).

MSc in physics got a very good scope. After completing MSc. one should try to score good score in GATE. There are many options after pursuing MSc physics. You can be a prominent researcher.like as in BARC other option can be teaching. or opening your own tution classes.

There is a bright future for M.Sc graduates in research institutions like CERN CSIR IITS IISC ONGC etc. are always in search of good M.SC students. Of course, you should have good portfolio or else you have write exam like CSIR/NET. You can go for research abroad on your own but for that you have to build your portfolio for that to publish at least two papers. You can try for PhD in foreign institutions. There are also scholar ships programmes for PhD .

After M.Sc. Physics, you can be a lecturer or you can also be a professor after pursuing Ph.D. in physics or you can also get into research related jobs or you can become a scientist.

Hi. M.Sc. Physics degree can find employment in private as well as in Government sector. One can look for jobs in research labs, medical labs, academic institutions, IT field, technical field, automobile industry and various government-owned Scientific Research and Development Organizations. Other than these options a Physics graduate has the option even to step ahead for civil services for which one is supposed to clear civil service exams conducted by UPSC. Another option available for you is to qualify NET JRF and then apply for assistant professor in some state colleges or colleges affiliated to universities. Thanks!
