It will basically cover the CBSE syllabus of 11th and 12th class books. Be thorough with it.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has determined the exam pattern for the Common Entrance Test. Candidates have to appear for only one paper. CET-IPU has conducted the entrance test in the online mode. The entrance test for B.Tech was held for 2 hours 30 minutes and for B.Tech (Bio-Technology) candidates were given a total duration of 3 hours. All the questions and instructions in the question paper will be in English Medium only. Candidates have to attempt a maximum number of 150 questions in the entrance examination. For biotechnology, the total number of questions is 200. The question paper will comprise questions from three sections, namely, physics, chemistry and mathematics. The Biotechnology paper will comprise questions from Biology along with PCM. The question paper was of 600 marks in total. For the Biotechnology paper, the total number of marks is 800. For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded to the candidate. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for questions that are not attempted.

Syllabus for CET-IPU Highlights of the syllabus: -Questions from the selected topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be included in the examination. -For the course of Biotechnology, questions related to the subjects of Biology and Biotechnology is also included. -IPU-CET consists of topics from CBSE syllabus of class 11th and 12th standard under the 10+2 scheme. Exam pattern of IPU-CET Mode of Examination-Offline Mode (OMR) Duration of Examination-2 hours and 30 minutes Language-English Sections-Physics : 33.33% ; Chemistry: 33.33%; and Mathematics: 33.33%. Total number of questions-150 questions Marking scheme-4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. Negative Marking: For every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted Marking Material-Black ball pen will be allowed for marking and writing the examination. Each section is of equal weightage so a candidate is advised to prepare well for all the sections. Good luck.
