The university has provided some of the important dates of JET 2018 for candidates appearing in the exam. Candidates are required to keep a track of JET 2018 important dates to stay updated and not to miss on any event related to the exam. JET important dates 2018 have been compiled for all the candidates in the table provided below JET 2018 Important Dates 1.Availability of JET 2018 application form -November 6, 2017 2.Last date to fill and submit JET application form 2018-May 4, 2018 3-JET 2018 entrance exam-May 5, 2018 JET 2018 Syllabus The syllabus for Jain Entrance Test (JET) is based on the 10+2 curriculum precribed by CBSE and other recognized boards in India. For B.Tech, the syllabus comprises Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of class 12th level.The syllabus for Post Graduate programs is uniform. It covers topics prescribed in the curriculum of Graduation. For B.Tech The syllabus of JET 2018 UG (B.tech) will be based on Class XI & XII Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Physics: Geometric Optics (Refraction At Prism, Plane And Spherical Surface), Physical Optics ( Interference, Diffraction, Polarisation And Speed Of Light), Electrostatic, Capacitors, Current Electricity, EMI, Atomic Physics, Scattering Of Light, Lasers, Radioactivity, Elementary Particles, Solid State Electronics, Digital Electronics, Soft Condensed Materials. Chemistry Metallurgy, Group 18, Noble Gases, Dblock Elements, Coordination Compounds, Chemical Bonding, Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Solutions, Thermodynamics, Colloids, Solids, Organic Chemistry (Isomers, Hydrocarbons, Haloalkanes, Aldehydes, Ketones, Alkyl Groups,Amines), Biomolecules. Mathematics Algebra, Matrices And Determinants, Vectors, Geometry (Circles And Conic Sections), Trignometry, Inverse Trigonometric Functions, Complex Numbers, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Differential Equations For UG programmes (except B.tech) Essay writing Standard essay writing topics Basic mathematics Questions will be based on class 12th mathematics which includes Average, Simple and Compound Interest, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Percentage, Stocks and Shares, etc. Current affairs For Current Affairs, refer to news and technologies regarding the subject areas

JET is an all India Joint Entrance conducted by Guru Nanak Dev institute of Hotel management for admission in various UG and PG Hotel management course. Applicants must passed their qualifying exam with more than 50% marks. Age limit must not be more than 22 years for UG course, and 25 years for PG course. Exam Pattern of JET Exam: There are 120 question in which 115 are multiple choice question, on behalf of correct answer, 1 mark is awarded and 5 subjective question and each question is of 7 marks, which makes a total of 150 marks exam in 2 hours. There is no negative marking for wrong answer. Question is asked from English, General Knowledge & current affairs and Aptitude. There is no prescribed syllabus for this exam, but according to traditional of these fields, question are asked from the following field: English 1. Vocabulary 2. Antonym 3. Synonym 4. Idioms and phrases 5. Sentence making and changing 6. Grammar General Knowledge 1. Invention and Discovery 2. Who first 3. Winners 4. Famous Personalities For current affairs, every day newspaper and Connection with world give rough idea about what is happening in the world. By practicing these, one can able to crack the exam.
