If you have good command over maths and English then you need 6 to 8 months of practice to surpass the threshold of 90 percentile in CAT exam. CAT is one of the toughest management entrance exams. You need to devote 4 hours a day for CAT preparations. The consistency of your efforts will help you to crack CAT.

It depends upon one's aptitude. It depends on the number of hours you are preparing. If you spend 4/5 hours per day for 5-6 months then you can easily score more than 90 percentile.
