In India there are better job prospects for CS. But if you are the kind of person who likes Physics and feel happy in the company of machines and love hardcore engineering, then Mechanical is the field for you. But be aware that not many engineering colleges in India have amazing labs and workshops for Mechanical. So before opting for any college, do check out the facilities online.

I suggest you to don't compare between computer engineering and mechanical engineering both have their own significant values.
