The foreign language programme has grown and attract students and faculty members not just from within the campus, but also from the city. Eager and motivated students learn a language either purely out of interest or for professional reasons. Many students, who wish to pursue a higher degree or a job outside India, find the knowledge of a foreign language an additional benefit. It provides an excellent opportunity for the students to learn a language using computer monitors fitted with headphones, which helps in increasing their listening, writing and reading skills. Courses in French, German and Japanese. Level 1 and Level 2 courses are offered in all the three languages.

It totally depends on your future plans, if you are planning for an MA and Ph.D. in English you can probably take up some research related work and if you plan to join corporate sector after graduation you can take up courses related to business, customer relations, business communication, marketing, etc. These courses will definitely be an add-on to your resume and will tell the employer about your interest. There are many courses available that you can pursue with your graduation in English literature and there are many online platforms which offer the courses such as Coursera, Edx, Udemy you can visit the websites select a suitable course. If you plan to join corporate only theoretical knowledge will not be sufficient, you can do full-time internships during your vacations and work from home internships during regular college days. The internships will provide you practical experience in the corporate world and will help you in identifying your area of interest. You can easily find internships online on websites like Internshala, Twenty19 and Let's Intern.
