There are many courses which you can pursue parallel to MBA Finance. Some are: FRM (Financial Risk Manager): It is a quant heavy course if you have good quant skills and passion for risk management. This course is perfect for you and you can pursue it along with your MBA in Finance. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst): This will be a good option if you are interested in investment analysis and portfolio management side. Apart from these two courses, there are many courses which are provided by various organisations like NISM, SEBI, etc. You can also go for various MOOCs which are available online. But, I will suggest that you focus more on your MBA and try to excel. Good luck. I hope this helps.

Yes, it is good to pursue a parallel course along with MBA. For MBA finance companies mostly prefer experienced employee. For freshers in finance companies offer relatively fewer packages to overcome of this you can pursue course like Digital banking which will give you an edge for your placement. Another course you can pursue is CFP (certified financial planner) this is a very good course for finance students in India ICICI direct and ICICI securities give this training. This is one of the tough courses and you can go to corporate finance as well as private finance too and starting salary package is also very good. In India there are a lot of openings for CFP certified candidates, this course consists of 5 modules. And you will get one year time period to complete the course after that you can renew your registration if one of the modules is leftover. Another course you can do is IFRS. This course is really new and having lot of demand in finance market.
