You could try for M.Des in industrial design or product design courses available in IIT and NID for which you need to appear for CEED exam and qualify. Also, you might need a portfolio as well.

Well, it is nice to go for higher study. Since, you are a mechanical engineer and interested in design, you can go for software course as well as hardware course. As you are interested in designing, you can opt for software design especially in designing stream. I suggest you to take software designing courses like solid works, CATIA , pro-e, ANSYS etc. In another case, you can also go for management courses like lean management, sigx sigma belt courses, total quality management and the list goes on. You can also take linear modelling, non-linear modelling, piping design, control valve sizing etc. Since, mechanical is the vast stream in engineering, you make your way of classification broader from automobile engineering, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, marine engineering, aeronautical engineering, aerospace engineering, avionics engineering, automotive engineering etc. There are many specialized courses in every field. A mechanical engineer can choose any course where his/her interest is being focused. Hence, you can join any course of your interest. All the best for future.

It is good to read that you have clarity on what you want to pursue further. You should explore a Master's degree program with specialisation in design.
