There is no particular set of qualities to become a cartoonist. If you are creative and can deliver what your client wants to can easily start your career as a cartoonist. You must have excellent drawing skills. Be as imaginative as you can. Add a sense of humor to your creation. Be socially updated. You must be aware of what is trending. That makes your cartoon fresh and maintains your demands in the market. You must have good communication skills and that should reflect in your creation. Always listen what your clients want and deliver according to them. Last but not the least you must have the ability to accept criticism. Create your own style. Be updated with all new tools. Sometimes there are tight deadlines and you have to be as creative as possible. The more knowledge you have the better your arsenal for your work.
