Pursuing career as TV correspondent can be fun but challenging too. You must have an excellent communication skill. Be versatile, create your own style and be very strong with your research. You must be very presentable and should be aware with all the technical aptitudes. Being a correspondent doesn't mean you just have to present news. Be ready for interviews, shoot footage, reports everything. Be a team player. Be friendly with all the people you helps you (like cameramen, technician etc.). You should be accurate and be up-to-date. A correspondent should be courageous and confident. Without courage and confidence it is difficult for a person to be a good correspondent. A good correspondent should be able to gather facts in a very careful and accurate way. He/she must be good at asking the right questions at the right time. He/she should know how to handle the situation, if something happens. Be spontaneous as well as credible.

The Career of Screen where you report the news live and you dominate the screen if your narrative and reporting of the happening/news click the audience. Reporting from the field, not sitting in the luxurious studio news desk, differentiates the correspondent from the anchor. A television correspondent- I.e. - News reporter is the person who has the responsibility of Reaching to the news, collection and submission of the news to the channel for the circulation by going on-air. The basic qualities and skills needed in a media professional are commonly known like communication skills, proper internships/training, language skills, public relation skills, personality which looks smart to all, screen presence and smart looks, flawless non-verbal communication skills. Along with the above, vast general knowledge, good writing skills (for scripts to the filed stories), voice over writing skills, voice quality as well as knowledge about handling a camera which records news.
