It depends on what your career planning is. You will spend at least 2 years after graduation in MBA and if you get up to top 50 colleges you may expect package of around 5 lakhs PA that is around 40000 per month. If you go for Staff Selection Commission or IBPS, you do not need to spend on MBA, you will get a lifetime secured job and a net salary of around 35000 per month and growth as per the pay commission.

Go for MBA course after your B.Com as it really has good opportunities because its core curriculum includes accounting, economics, marketing and operations. Some schools require MBA candidates who have done their internship. Follow your own paths and you already have some knowledge of taxation and economics as you have done B.Com. You should go for MBA along with an internship.

So, after B.Com Hons, you have to think and decide what your goals are for the future or what you want to be. You have 4 options. 1- M.Com- After doing this, you can go for teaching profession. 2. MBA- You can prepare for entrance exam for admission in top MBA colleges. By doing this, you can work in different MNCs. 3. CA- Yes, you can directly go for IPCC without appearing for CPT, but only if you have more than 50%. 4. Job- You can prepare for IBPS, RRB, NABARD, RBI exams. All these are government banks. Also, you can search for private jobs always.

There are plethora of opportunities available for you after doing B.Com Honors, it just that in which field you are interested in. You can start working with any small consultancy firm, as being a B.Com graduate you have sufficient knowledge about taxation and accounting. Gain some experience and then you can go for MBA. With few months of work experience it will give you advantage in MBA over the other Freshers, who are without any work experience. If you areinterested in Higher studies you can do M.Com and the go for Ph.D. and after that you can work in the teaching field. You can also do professional courses like CA CS CMA, CFA from India or outside and can get better job opportunities. Apart from these you can also go for the preparation of Banking and other competitive exams. And if None of these, you can also do an event management course, fashion designing course etc. Based on you area of interest.

After looking at some of your questions at Shiksha.com, I believe you are not sure what to do post your graduation. My sincere advice is that you seek a professional counselling and then finalize on the line of action. Focus on professional counselling as these counsellors understand you as a person and then help you decide on a course. As per the question, you can do M.Com, CA or a management degree in either finance or marketing/HR as per your interest.
