Minimum Eligibility criteria for appearing in Civil Services is graduation from a recognized university. Therefore choice of degree and subject do not matter for appearing in examination. Civil Services is very competitive exam, where only best are able to reach to IAS. In order to excel in Civil Services examination you must chose subjects in which you have interest and also have potential to be exceptional. Your academic excellence and leadership traits only can help you make a IAS.

You have to pursue you graduation degree in any of the branch or course of degree education and then attend IAS exam. Remember that BA is recommended for IAS as per most of the students.
