You can work somewhere to get the work experience, and then go for M.Tech in civil or you just directly go to pursue M.Tech and work later. Both the way you can use your skills efficiently.

The best option for you to pursue higher study is to take admission in Civil Engineering through lateral entry. Otherwise, you can also opt to do job rather than studying.

You can directly take admission in 2nd year of B.Tech Civil.Top colleges are:DTU, BITS College of Engineering Pune Lovely Professional University Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology Chennai, Vellore Institute of Technology P. If want you a good career, then take admission in B.Tech from a reputed college. Here, you have many options to get more jobs such as in PSU and you can take admission in M.Tech from IIT /NIT and your graduation will also be completed. During B.Tech, try to fill mostly all government jobs form.

You can do B.Tech and further M.Tech. After graduation, you can also try for IES, and civil services exam Like IAS.
