BA will be the best option if your plan is to go for IAS, better start preparing for IAS immediately.

Do BA if your primary goal is IAS. I would recommend pursuing BA from IGNOU through distance and do coaching for IAS. BA syllabus will actually help you in the later stages of civil services exams.

I agree with BA I am also doing BA FROM BHU because the pattern of UPSC design that around 4 subject related to humanities group.

If your destination is IAS then any recognised graduation will make you eligible. To enhance other prospects many prefer doing an engineering degree.

BA is the right option when y do with any prompt university. But, if you choose B.Tech from civil, it is also helpful. And, doing B.Sc (Hon.) makes your concept clear and strong on your subject which help you in the examination. In short choose any stream, just focus on your aim and work hard.
