Even if you are not prepared well you must sit for IIT-Mains. You can get into other good engineering colleges like NITs and other private engineering which accepts scores of IIT-Mains. If your aim is to pursue engineering from IIT only than you have one more option taking a drop of one year and try crack IIT next year. You just focus on basic concepts band its application you can crack IIT thus year itself. Good Luck.
