no need to learn nythng before them. you can start learning C language, then data structures and algorithms. then go to java or php or other languages. dont be in hurry to learn many langauges. just learn c nd java or php bt learn them in a good way

You will be provided with the basics in your programming language learning so I do not think you need to worry about the basics.

Know your purpose - Why you want to learn programming? Then choose the language that suits your purpose. Basically you can write every program in any of the programming languages. But the ease to obtain the desired output is what that differs them. Answer to your question ends here. **But just giving a few points on how to start learning programming. Basics of the programming language you have chosen. (History, Predecessors, Pros & Cons, etc) Datatypes Keywords Basic Conditional Loops Parameters and Functions/Methods Libraries/Headers/Templates Static programming. (you know the output of your program beforehand.) Dynamic or I/O programming. (User involvement is required in between the running of program) Exception Handling Data Structures Practice After the above steps, try writing programs based to fulfill your purpose.
