A car designer does't require much of a Science or engineering background. Automotive design or car design is a subset of product design which requires an art background. Don't push yourself into the propaganda that you need to have Science and engineering background to become a car designer unless you are not passionate about it and want to have 'better' prospects. If you are really passionate about becoming a car designer, you need to understand the art form. For your 11th and 12th grade, choose an arts stream so that you get the basic fundamental knowledge regarding art, history, and it's pertinent skills. A Science stream for your 11th and 12th will not do any harm, it's your choice, you still can become a car designer. Regards.
