Organic Chemistry: 1. Clayden (best book -deep concepts in organic chemistry and a person can clear CSIR-JRF easily. Please don't have cursory reading. Read in detail as mentioned in book chapter wise from the beginning. Answer key and solution mentioned in book itself. You just need to login their websites. 2. Bruice- Best book for beginner in organic chemistry. First start with Bruice and then Clayden. 3. Inorganic Chemistry: Huheey 3a. J. D. Lee for beginners and for major topics which come directly into IIT JAM Chemistry study Huheey - this is must. 4. Physical: Atkins (though many people not able to understand initially, not a issue! Still read and took help from the book mentioned below: 4a. KL Kapoor: various volumes are available depending upon the chapter. Inundated with questions and solved examples of physical chemistry. Rest can be done also from Atkins. Quantum chemistry - do follow atkins 5. Donald Mcquarrie: Bestest book I have ever read for quantum and spectroscopy. More than sufficient in terms of knowledge and clarity. Other chapters like group theory many more are available. So please study Mcquarrie also. 6. Solved road map problems of organic chemistry. 7. To follow 6. one needs to have a command over name reactions. For this follow Peterskyies. It is not a comprehensive book but helpful I have already mentioned you bible of organic chemistry that is Clayden and Bruice. 8. Solve last year question papers of IIT JAM Chemistry. This helps you alot. You have an idea of important name reactions since plenty of reactions are there and hard to remember everyone. 9. Check the organising institute & last year paper formulated by that institute. Happy reading and stay positive.

You can go for the study material provided by Eduncle. I am using it too for my preparation. The study material is quite enough for the JAM preparation. Along with this, you can solve the previous year's papers also. You can order the study material online also. By this way, you can save your valuable money that would have been spent on coaching, living in some other city, etc.
