Social Work is a branch of Humanity which can be pursued by anyone irrespective of their specialization at graduation level. Social work- At Bachelors level, the scope of Humanity is upto theoretical level. But it has a very broad scope at Masters level. The Masters in social work focuses on to the particular aspects of professional practice of philosophy. The areas of specialization in social work degree include sociology, economics, philosophy, history and minor part of business Administration. Hence with this, you may consider ‘Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai’ as a choice. This is the best college for Humanities when it comes to specialization of Social Work. You can easily get a good job in various sectors such as NGOs, CSR and Government departments or allied initiatives. But, don’t forget that research is a fundamental part of becoming a social worker professionally. However, if not TISS, then for second option you may take 'Himgiri Zee University'. That is also a good university but not better than TISS. That should be your first preference. Best of luck.
