In order to pursue full time MBA or PGDM program you need to be graduate in any field with atleast 50% marks in graduation, plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc. The selection process in B-schools generally consists of : - Past Academic record. - Scores in entrance tests. - Group Discussion. - Personal Interview. - Work experience. Please note that each B-schools shortlists candidates for second stage of selection which may be independent of each other. The process may include - Written Test (WT). - Group Discussions (GD) - Personal Interviews (PI). Performance in various management entrance tests is an important component in the admission process. B-schools may use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across B-schools. I would request Raj 29680 to give you detailed information regarding various career prospects after completing MBA in HR. Feel free to raise more questions. Appreciate by giving it thumbs up or marking as best. All the Best.

HR is essentially a support process and not a revenue generation process and therefore some companies may adopt a tendency to invest the least in them compared to other processes. A fresher in the beginning in a corporate set up may earn less. But in HR as the experience grows you earn more and more and the best part is you get to learn all the processes and strategies of the organisation. Through people relationships you gain more contacts inside and outside the company and in short start exercising more power and authority without a higher designation as you learn the process.Through man management and negotiation skills you can become one of the key components of your organisation. So if you want to step in for HR, drive and passion should be primary and the money factor secondary. A fast monetary growth may not be that easy but there are multinationals who fill their pockets. Apart from opportunities in the academia, self employment in the form of consultancy and training services do exist in our country.

If you have good communication skills, have a charismatic personality, and are dependable and confident, MBA with HR specialisation can help you launch a career in human resource development, industrial relations, and personnel management. HR is not only about common-sense. You have to have specific skills and aptitude for the job. HR personnel are the first points of interaction between a company and its employees and an efficient Human Resources department plays a critical role in keeping business operations smooth and effective
