NDA examination is conducted twice a year by UPSC for selecting candidates for training to become Commissioned Officers in three Services. Those who clear entrance examination are called for Service Selection Board (SSB). Candidates are tested for their Officer Like qualities for 5 days. Those who clear SSB then go for medical. Those who clear Medical and make it to merit list are called to join 3 years course at NDA. On completion of 3 years candidate go for specialist training of one year before becoming an Commission officer. Those who want to join Indian Air Force undergo a Pilot Aptitude test. This test can be taken by a candidate only once in Life time. Eligibility criteria for NDA entrance examination is +2 from recognized board. Those who have PCM are considered for Pilot in IAF and Technical branch es f Army and Navy.
