AMU (Engineering) stands at the 1st position in India according to the lowest total fee (including hostel fee) per year which is RS 10555/- for the first year and from the second year fees is RS 5255/- per year per student. So many students want admission here. Here are few important topics for AMUEEE: PHYSICS- Wave Optics, Thermodynamics, Oscillations and waves, Electrostatics, Electromagnetic Induction and A.C, Semiconductor, Electronic Devices, Gravitation and Rotation Motion. Mathematics -Conic sections, Vectors, Matrices and Determinants, Differential Equations Application of derivatives, Probability, 3D Geometry, Straight line, Arithmetic Progression, Complex Number, Permutation and Combination. CHEMISTRY - Chemical Bonding, States of matter, Thermodynamic, Equilibrium, S&D block elements, Coordination compounds, Electrochemistry, Extraction of metel, Solution, General organic compound, Aldehyde ketone and ethers and Biomolecules. Read all these chapter and be sure that one can score good marks in AMUEEE but never forget previous year’s question paper of AMUEEE exam which makes your preparation better.

AMUEEE is a paper based test conducted by Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for admission to different courses of engineering (including B.Tech and B.Arch) for all the aspiring candidates who desire to take admission in various colleges affiliated to the university. The entrance exam comprises of two papers. This is explained below: Paper I (for B.E. course): Objective multiple choice type (MCQ) questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Paper II (for B. Arch course): It consists of 2 separate sections. Written Test: Objective multiple choice questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Architecture Aptitude Test: Drawing capability and descriptive questions. If you have gone through previous years question papers and are aware of the format of the paper then you will see the most important topics from each subject are: Physics: Wave Optics, Thermodynamics, Oscillations and Waves, Electrostatics, Electromagnetic Induction & AC. Maths-Calculus, Conic sections, Vectors, Matrices & Determinants, and Differential Equations. Chemistry: Nothing much to say. Revise the inorganic part, physical formulas for direct questions and some famous reactions of organic chemistry Reference books for AMUEEE preparation: 1. AMU Engineering Entrance Topic Wise Solved Papers by Dipak Agarwal. 2. AMU Explorer by MTG Editorial Board. 3. Textbooks by National Council Of Educational Research (NCERT) 4. Materials: TIME, Resonance and FIITJEE for getting more ideas and trick to apply for saving time in the examination. 5. 14 years (2000-2013) Solved Papers AMU: Engineering entrance Exam by Arihant publication.

I would suggest covering entire portions. Put some efforts in and do it and solve the mock papers. Important thing is that you should do timed practice as the AMUEEE is known for being lengthy. Also make sure you solve last years’ papers. For revision or if you have less time focus on following chapters PHYSICS- Wave Optics, Thermodynamics, Oscillations and waves, Electrostatics, Electromagnetic Induction & A.C, Gravitation, Behaviour of perfect gas and kinetic theory. MATHS- Calculus, Conic sections, Vectors, Matrices & Determinants, Differential Equations, Permutations and Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Sequence and Series. CHEMISTRY-Nothing much to say. Revise the inorganic part, physical formulas for direct questions and some famous named reactions of organic chemistry. Do P block efficiently as it is lengthy. Check for repeating patterns in previous papers. Don't only focus on theory and solve as many questions possible for preparation. Again, I advise to do complete syllabus. All the best.
