BITSAT is one of the toughest engineering entrance tests in the country then merely putting in efforts is not enough? You also need to work smart and understand the weightage each topic has, to be able to get the required score in BITSAT. As the cutoff is high so a student have to score good marks mean above 300 out of 450 to get selected so really proper planning is needed. Here are few topics from which there is lot of question asked every year. Chemistry 1.Chemical Bonding 2.Atomic Structure 3.S&P Block Element 4.GOC 5.Equilibrium 6.Aldehyde Ketone Maths 1.Conic Section 2. Continuity & Differentiability 3.Straight Lines 4. 3D Geometry 5. Statistics & Probability Physics 1.Mechanics 2. Heat and Thermodynamic 3.Magnetic effect of current & magnetism 4.Simple Harmonic Motion 5.Optics Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics account for an overall 125 questions (out of the total of 150 questions) asked in the BITSAT and rest 25 question accounts English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning sections which is quite different from all engineering entrance exams so you have to be good in English and Logics reasoning also. Note:- By mentioning these topics means not you get qualified if you study only these topics These are only important from which more question asked but for qualification in exam you have to study rest of topics also.

Important topics regarding BITSAT are as follows: Important topics for physics: Heat & Thermodynamics (10%) Magnetic effect of current & magnetism (9%) Wave Motion (6%) Current Electricity (6%) Electrostatics (5%) Simple Harmonic Motion (5%) Wave Optics (5%) Fluids (5%) Rotational Motion (4%) Work, Energy, Power (4%) Elasticity (4%) Ray Optics (4%) Important topics for chemistry: Chemical Bonding (10%) Biomolecules (6%) Carboxylic Acid & its derivatives (6%) Atomic Structure (6%) P-block elements (6%) Mole Concepts (6%) Alkanes, Alkenes & Alkynes (5%) Electrochemistry (5%) Chemical Thermodynamics (5%) Solid State (4%) Chemical Equilibrium (4%) General Organic Chemistry (4%) s-block elements (4%) Important topics for MATHEMATICS: Straight lines (7%) Pair of straight lines (7%) Vectors (6%) Continuity & Differentiability (6%) Differential Equation (4%) Complex Numbers (4%) Theory of Equation (4%) Trigonometric Equations (3%) Properties of Triangles (3%) Probability (3%) Application of Derivatives (3%) In short: Physics -Current Electricity, Laws of Motion, Electromagnetic Induction, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Heat and Thermodynamics, Magnetic Effect of Current and Magnetism, Kinematics.Other important chapters like Wave Motion, Impulses and Momentum, Optics, Wave motion, Modern Physics have comparatively lesser weightage. Chemistry -Organic Compounds containing Oxygen, s-block and p-block elements, Chemical Thermodynamics, General Organic Chemistry (with IUPAC nomenclature), Chemical Thermodynamics, Solutions, Chemical Bonding, Electrochemistry. Other important chapters with lesser weightage include Coordination Compounds, Polymers, Redox Reactions, Polymers, Chemical Kinetics and Chemical equilibrium. Mathematics -Trigonometry, Sequences and Series, Coordinate Geometry (Straight Lines, Conic Sections), Sets, Relations and Functions, Theory of Quadratic Equations, Vectors, Probability, Calculus (Integration). Lesser weightage chapters like Calculus (Differentiation, Differential Equations), Complex Numbers, Permutation and Combination also have considerable importance. English Proficiency - Synonyms and Antonyms, Grammar and Odd word out. Logical Reasoning -Series completion, Logical Deduction, Figure Analysis.
