Have you ever watched a guy being an engineer at home? In India, it is not possible to pursue B.Tech through correspondence. You need to go to the college regularly, suffer lectures, face exams and be an engineer.

Pursue regular B.Tech from a local but recognised college. Tell them you won't be able to attend classes and you will only give exams. That is the only method that works for getting a B.Tech degree. But remember, a person becomes an engineer because of his skill. Private companies will see through your degree if you are not qualified enough. However, IGNOU provides 4 years B.Tech and it has been declared 'valid' by SC. Also, IEI also provides an option to pursue a course for working technical professionals.
