UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION (UGC) The University Grants Commission of India (UGC India) is a statutory body set up by the Indian Union government in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 under Ministry of Human Resource Development, and is charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of higher education. It provides recognition to universities in India, and disburses funds to such recognised universities and colleges. The list of university approved colleges can be checked here :

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE): The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the statutory body and a national-level council for technical education, under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The main Objective of The University Grants Commission of India is determining and maintaining the standards of higher education in India. It makes sure that the organizations recognized are meeting the criteria laid down by the government as the standard for higher education. 2: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE): All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set up initially as an advisory committee and now regulates the standards of higher education in India. It regulates, planned, decides funds for various educational education institutes in India Every engineering college needs to be recognized by these two organizations and its mandatory.
