Psychology is a good career if: You are ready to learn or study further, after your graduation. You are ready for opportunities abroad (USA, Europe (some countries), Australia have more demand for these career options. If you study Masters there, then it’s an added advantage. You are ready to take teaching jobs, not stick with doctor professions. (Many foreign nations providing excellent salary package for teaching professionals in psychology.) Other options: Also, you can appear for UPSC exam, while choosing psychology as an optional, which is giving good score for civil service aspirants.

Clinical Psychology is a preferable area as once you become a clinical psychologist, you are open to do formal assessments, guiding and counselling of students. You can be associated with many schools and corporates for psychometric test etc. Its highly paying.
