Direction is the most coveted seat at FTII, followed by acting. Compared to the other streams, the ratio of competition is 67 times higher. If you aspire to become a director, you gotta have a taste for music, sound design, cinematography, editing, acting, art direction, story boarding, screenplay and should intensely feel for them. Direction is like conducting an orchestra or captaining a ship. You do not have to do anything individually. But you must exert great command.
