It depends upon ones interest and the extent to which one has the patience to acquire knowledge. If you are interested in coding and prefer to take a job just after completing B.Tech CSE would be the best as one is more prone to high salaries. One can also consider IT for the same issues but CSE is more favoured over IT as CSE is a bit older branch than IT and emphasizes more on programming.If one is really interested in learning electronics and can go for higher studies atleast upto M.S. then there is no branch which can compete ECE in any of its traits. Package and Working Environment is far better of ECE worldwide except in INDIA. And the biggest problem of ECE is that students dont get high packages just by doing B.Tech. So if one decides to study ECE one must get through GRE and do M.S.
