In today's world, the real situation is that the civil and mechanical engineering branches are like fluctuating voltages. I being an electrical engineer would suggest you to go for electrical course. The actual truth is that the evergreen course include EC, CS, IS, IT and EE. Every course has the same value in the society. If you do EE i.e. electrical and electronics engineering then you will have two different ways to make your career which is in both software as well as technical field. This is something I would like to suggest you.

Electrical engineering is better than mechanical engineering because it has high scope now when compared to mechanical engineering and also has good placement opportunity.

Mechanical Engineering is called an evergreen branch as Mechanical Engineering graduates find suitable placements in almost all segments of industry. But if you aim at opportunities state electricity boards and public sector industries such as BHEL, Power Grid Corporation etc. Electrical Engineering Graduates must face competition to emerge victorious.
