As we are aware that the world is fast moving towards automation and that there will be a lot of field that would require 'intelligence' in machines. So, keeping that into perspective, fields like computer science and information technology will be growing upwards in the coming years. To add to that, there will be subjects like machine learning, data analytics, internet of things etc. That will become a part of the curriculum. It is imperative that any engineering aspirant understands that a stream that does not have components which enable him to learn about automation and artificial intelligence is going to face the music. Therefore there should be a clear emphasis on pursuing these"subjects" as part of the streams one is pursuing. Aspirants also need to be wary of the fact that routine coding jobs and knowledge of different languages like Java, c etc is going to witness a downward trend. Full stack developers might retain their jobs but those who are mere into coding have lost jobs and are struggling. So, data is the key to the future. Hence, make your decisions accordingly. All the best.
