Computer science engineering is one of the most well-known, highly reputed and popular discipline of all engineering branches in recent times.With advent of Digital India, The scope is beyond our thinking as it opens up plethora of opportunities with Use cases like IOT, Smart Homes, Smart City, Smart Villages, etc.The programming concepts will be very easy when one understands with a little intellectual thinking and dedicated efforts. Various jobs are available for computer science graduates with high paid salary such as in multinational companies like Google, Cisco, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Adobe, Infosys, IBM, etc. from top colleges and in various sectors. The main problem is that as these companies are offering more salaries, the students are showing interest to take computer science as their area of Specialization with M.Tech and MS as post-graduation arena. Various job opportunities like business intelligence, analytics, app development, machine learning development and decision scientist have been on cards which have promising career and makes CS as most sought after engineering specialization.

See, we are going into an era of information technology revolution and the automation of everything around us. With Tesla cars, you can drive from home to office without even operating the car and that too safely. All the branches are at their apex in every field and technological advances are too fluid. Still, one thing can be said for sure that all the branches have a lot of fields to unravel and no branch shall lose its colors over time. In terms of time, mechanical and civil are basis and evergreen branches and have been with us over the ages whereas some branches as electrical come later and finally comes the era of Technological advances that include electronics and computer science. Also now we have been encountering the interdisciplinary studies and that has diverted the full course of engineering and technology. So, we can see that all branches are best in their respective fields and all are definitely going to grow in the future. As we are aware that the world is fast moving towards automation and that there will be a lot of field that would require 'intelligence' in machines. So, keeping that into perspective, fields like computer science and information technology will be growing upwards in the coming years. To add to that, there will be subjects like machine learning, data analytics, internet of things etc. That will become a part of the curriculum. It is imperative that any engineering aspirant understands that a stream that does not have components which enable him to learn about automation and artificial intelligence is going to face the music. Therefore there should be a clear emphasis on pursuing these"subjects" as part of the streams one is pursuing. Aspirants also need to be wary of the fact that routine coding jobs and knowledge of different languages like Java, c etc is going to witness a downward trend. Full stack developers might retain their jobs but those who are mere into coding have lost jobs and are struggling. So, data is the key to the future. Hence, make your decisions accordingly.
