Mechanical Engineering is called an evergreen branch considering its placement potentials. Streams in demand include Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering and so on. Besides, there are new generation streams such as Information Technology, Avionics, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automobile Engineering, Robotics and so on. These many branches may confuse you because of what will be there in particular branch. You have to choose which is favour to your knowledge and on what you are strong and which branch base is strong that you should know. My advice is better to choose EEE if you have good basics in mathematics otherwise ECE is the right choice because these both streams are good in the advancing technology.
