I can't tell you about SRM but I can only tell you about the facilities in MIT. When it comes to mechanical, MIT is quite good. We have well equipped labs, workshops, CNC training, latest software's like catia as a part of the college curriculum. Apart from it, I won't say all but yeah but professors are really learned. Apart from all this there are a number of student projects running which gives you a hands on practicality experience at under graduate level. I am myself a part of such project and being a part of such a project I have learnt TIG welding. Facilities at MIT are quite good. There's 24 hour WiFi in most parts of the campus. In hostels it's always there. There's always a well equipped library. Average package here is around 6 Lanka P.a.
