MIT is a private university affiliated with the Pune University. As compared to the IIT's, NIT's, BITS it is certainly incomparable. Sticking to Maharashtra that includes primarily the Mumbai and Pune University, MIT certainly ranks up in the top 5 maybe depending on the branch. 1. First things first the quality of teaching staff is overall okay-ish for any branch. There are always a few teachers who are exceptionally knowledgeable but the others are just there. EnTC has the best faculty followed by CSE, IT, Civil and then Mech. 2. Job opportunities are ample provided you have a good record in academics. Top companies do come in but ultimately it's on you. 3. The campus is quite good. There's a wonderful ground. Good infrastructure in general. The feeling is nice. 4. Staying in Pune and especially Kothrud is a pleasure. The weather is amazing. Food outlets are superb. The "happening" FC road, Law College road is just about 5 km away and KP is about 12. The rent is decent. 5. The crowd is exceptionally good. There are people with good ambition and a drive so you will be kept on your feet provided you keep good company. 6. A lot of events are supported by tgr college - Robocon, Supra SAE, Baha, then college fests like Texephyr, Nirmitee, Cultural events are aplenty. Hope this helps.
