Which college is better for B.Tech in CSE: Christ University Faculty of Engineering or ACED, Bangalore?

Christ University Faculty of Engineering (CUFE) has one of the largest and the best campuses in Bangalore. Spread over 85+ acres located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, its a beautiful campus. Literally beautiful. Placements were not that great at CUFE and the students from previous batch are still struggling for jobs. That being said, this college started in 2008 and thus is a growing college. It is improving on all aspects every year. PLACEMENT For ACED- Although the college has a specific placement department who looks after the placements of students but it lacks determination to put effort to place the students. The first company which came for recruitment was 'FUTURES FIRST'. It provided with highest package of 8 LPA + incentives. Although only one student was recruited in the company. The other recruiting companies (with package) which came into our college are as follows: Think & Learn: 4.5 - 5 LPA Amazon: 3 - 3.5 LPA AIG: 4- 4.5 LPA About one third of the total students from our batch were placed through college recruitment process. INTERNSHIP - The college provides internship but none of them got any paid internship. The companies that provided internship were small firms within the city.

I will break it down for you: 1.College reputation : Christ University is one of the most prestigious universities in the Bangalore, well known for its excellence, and has a history of success although B. Tech is relatively a newer to their curriculum. While, ACED is not even among the top ten list of colleges in Bangalore. International relations: Christ University has a number of collaborations with foreign universities, which will help you grab a seat in any foreign collaborating college easily. While ACED is still in the making on this subject. Faculty: One of my friends studying in the campus often regrads as the faculty to be not so satisfactory, and says his college is all about infrastructure. Placements: Placements at ACED are not at all satisfactory, which is something you cannot expect from a college being comfortably placed in the silicon city. Christ, being a new addition to the engineering colleges had not many batches passed out and so it’s meaningless to draw any conclusions on that note. But, it definitely ensures you one thing, which is better companies who visit the campus. Hope you make the right choice, cheers!
