SRM University ranks among the top 11 universities in the private sectors while Manipal University is off the charts now. CSE at SRM is accredited by IBM for Noida campus and ABET, IEEE for Chennai campus. Both the campuses are at par when it comes to infrastructure and facilities, only that SRM makes you pay a lesser amount of money compared to MIT. Placement at SRM is where MIT fails to impress. SRM has the highest placement of 32 lakhs in the year 2012, while 25 still being the highest for Manipal University. One place where Manipal excels SRM is the hostel facility provided by them, being far better compared to what SRM gives at a higher price. P. S. Make the right choice by keeping ROI in mind. CHEERS!

Manipal Institute of Technology is far better than SRM in all aspects. SRM has copied several things from Manipal Institute of Technology like Semester Abroad programme and so on. Quality of students of MIT Manipal is also much better than SRM University. Here admission is totally based on merit no matter who you are. But in SRM University there are several management quotas available to get admission. Getting into the Manipal Institute of Technology is difficult than SRM University. Also, MIT has top class alumni from India like Satya Nadella and Rajiv Suri CEOs of Microsoft and Nokia respectively. Manipal Institute of Technology is ranked in top 1000 ranks all over the world by QS World rankings and SRM is nowhere there insights of QS. It is the only private engineering college of India to reach that landmark.

Yes, both the colleges are better for doing engineering in CSE but from my opinion, Manipal is a reputed one and have good facilities, infrastructure and faculty members as compared to SRM.

SRM is one of the best and top ranked institute which is ranked in top 20 private institute in india and the educational environment is good and the placements for the eligible candidates are really very good and the packages for the placements are also good. Faculty members of the SRM are best. For CSE B.Tech, you can choose MIT too but RM lies above it in ranking in India. So, I would suggest to go with SRM Chennai. Cheers!
